What does “Fixed Rate Plan” mean? What does “Variable Rate Plan” mean? What is a “Promo Code” or “Preferred Partner Code?" Does MXenergy assess an Exit Fee? What is MXenergy’s Privacy Policy?
Q: What does “Fixed Rate Plan” mean?
A: A Fixed Rate Plan allows you to lock in one rate for up to three years—eliminating the highs and lows that make your bills tough to manage.
Q: What does “Variable Rate Plan” mean?
A: Variable Rate Plans do not provide you with price protection, but do allow you to take advantage of rates in a declining market. When you enroll in an MXenergy Variable Rate Plan, your account is set up so if you decide to switch to the protection of a fixed rate, you can make a quick and easy switch.
Q: What is a “Promo Code” or “Preferred Partner Code?”
A: From time to time MXenergy offers special promotions to customers. If you have received a letter or postcard from us please look for these codes. To receive the offer you need to enter the code during the enrollment process.
Q: Does MXenergy assess an Exit Fee?
A: We reserve the right to charge an exit fee if you are on a fixed rate plan and do not remain on the plan for at least twelve consecutive billing cycles. Exit Fees are not charged if you move and the requested service location is not served by your current utility, or if you move to an area not served by MXenergy.
Q: What is your Privacy Policy?
A: You can read our Privacy Policy here [link to document]
